Memories of childhood, owl used to be easier to see when we were growing up in Northern BC. I consider myself very lucky to have seen them as well as other wildlife such as bears, moose, rabbits, and deer when living in a subdivision outside of the small city of Fort St.

I still have vivid memories of owls when I was 8-13 years old and was delivering the Alaska Highway Newspapers in the dark of winter after school. Often they would be perched on fence posts or high on power lines scanning thier territory. The closest I ever got to them was within 50 feet and I would stand quietly and stare until it decided to fly away.
